Awards recipients will be notified by email in October 2020. 

Awards vary and can be in the form of a cheque, tuition credit, gift card, or membership. Awards will be distributed via email money transfer after the ceremony to your VCC student email address.

As our virtual event capacity is very limited, we have a limit of two guest tickets per award recipient. If you are hoping to bring an extra guest, please email to make a request. Please note, extra guest spots are not guaranteed.

We ask award recipients to join the event 15 minutes before the ceremony start time to check-in.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, all awards will be mailed out to students after the ceremony. Please sign into your myVCC account to ensure that your mailing address is current. If you have any questions or need assistance updating your mailing address, please contact Financial Aid at or 604.871.7046 to arrange to have your award mailed to you.

Biographies are read aloud during the Awards ceremonies. We ask that biographies are short (190 characters or less) and gives the audience a brief overview about you, your goals and accomplishments, and who you would like to thank. Sample bios can be found here.

Generous donors make these awards and scholarships a possibility for VCC students. To show appreciation, we ask that award recipients write a thank-you letter to the donors. Letters could include how the award will help you, a description of your journey thus far, and your goals. Sample thank-you letters can be found here.
