A continuation of Kodaly Solfege MUSC 1101 and 1201, covering chromaticism to atonality in melodic context. Diatonic harmony with inversions, 7th chords and simple modulation, as well as melodic and harmonic form and analysis are also explored. Sight-singing and dictation includes examples from 20th century repertoire. 1:0:2 Prerequisite: Kodaly Solfege 1101/1201 or equivalent. Note: For the purpose of transferability to most post-secondary institutions, Kodaly Solfege 1101/1201 and 2101/2201 must be taken in conjunction with Materials and Structures of Music 1103/1203 and 2103/2203 .
