An introduction to the creation and production of electronic music using current digital technology, the computer and synthesizers. Students learn basics of audio recording, sound design, sampling, sound synthesis and sequencing both audio and MIDI in the context of creating their own compositions. Students are also introduced to the history, aesthetic issues, and current and future directions of electronic music through regular listening and discussion. 1:0:2
