Design Drawing (INTD 1315)
Students will develop drawing abilities and skills through the practice of specific drawing exercises. These drawing exercises encourage discovery and analysis of the built environment, especially as it applies to Interior spaces. Drawing is both a tool of understanding and of communicating. Focus will be upon developing skills in manipulating line, form, space, volume, proportion and tonal value in order to both understand and explain design concepts. Introduction of one point, two point, and atmospheric perspective will help students to express, modify and adjust design concepts as well as summarize, evaluate and explain them. Drawing mediums (primarily black and white) include pencil, ink, felt pen, charcoal, pastels and conte crayon.
