- Dental ergonomics and surgical magnification
- Instrumentation principles
- Clinical assessment including: Health history, vital signs, and the following examinations: head and neck, intraoral soft tissue, periodontal, dental and occlusal
- Principles of radiography, radiographic techniques and radiation safety procedures
- Oral self-care strategies
Prior learning assessment and recognition (PLAR)
PLAR is granted for competence in exposing bitewing radiographs on a skull. Students must provide supplied documentation of prior learning to validate clinical experience.
